The Passing of a Prophet

At about 8:30 pm on Sunday night, I received a call from a good friend of mine informing me that President Gordon B. Hinckley had passed away.

I feel a deep sadness in my heart. This news, I’m sure, has affected millions of others as it has affected me. The world lost one of the greatest men to ever walk the earth, and even though the church will continue to progress and will move forward as it always does, and solace can be felt in knowing that he is once again reunited with his wife; however, I feel this loss will be present in my heart, and the hearts of millions, for a very long time.

I am right there with you! He reminded me SO much of Grandpa. It brought back old memories. He was an incredible prophet and he touched so many lives. Aren't we blessed to have such wonderful men at the head of our church! Its comforting to know that the work will continue progressing. I love you, Rye!

I agree! There will be no one like Pres. Hinckley. He was so kind and loving. His sense of humor made everyone feel at ease (even on the hard topics). He will always be on the top of my list of people that have influenced me for the good. I love you, Ryan. Thanks for expressing your feelings.
